At 18:00, watch the Kecak Fire Dance, one of Bali’s most famous traditional performances. The dance tells parts of the Ramayana, the story of Prince Rama and his wife Sita. When Sita is taken by the demon king Ravana, Rama, his brother Lakshmana, and the monkey general Hanuman go to rescue her. The dance shows the fight between Rama and Ravana and represents the triumph of good over evil, loyalty, courage, and devotion. Performed at sunset, the dancers wear colorful costumes while a group of men chants “cak-cak-cak” in rhythm. After the dance, around 19:00, the driver will take you back to your hotel.
